Chris Lang, Sport for Humanity Chairman and Founding Leader, Passes Away

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our chairman and founding leader Chris Lang.

A Canadian sport and business leader over the last 50 years, Chris was a visionary with a unique ability to combine business intuition and heart.

Under Chris’ leadership, Sport at the Service of Humanity was launched at the Vatican in 2016, inspired by Pope Francis and driven by his passion in the concept of “values-driven-sport”.

Those of us who have been fortunate to know and work with Chris have lost a dear friend, mentor, colleague and partner.

We will honour his memory and his legacy by continuing to champion the work he started — combining our passion for sport with the values of faith to see a world where we all Live Like We Play!
